Tim Buckley

Tim Buckley brings to the mediation table over 30 years of experience
litigating and resolving complex, multi-party matters. Tim is known for his
high energy, focus, integrity and ability to bring people together. These
qualities make him a successful dispute resolution expert.

Tim has been a leader and innovator in several areas including class
actions. While with one of Canada’s leading national law firms, he oversaw
the firm’s class action work in every province in Canada as well as managing
cross border class action disputes. His peers have consistently recognized
his abilities by selecting him to be included in the list of Best Lawyers in
Canada.Tim has also been recognized by Lexpert as one of Canada’s
leading counsel.

Tim is past Chair of the Ontario Bar Association Class Action Section and is
currently a member of the expert Reference Group to the Law Commission
of Ontario Project to provide an independent and practical analysis of class
actions in Ontario.

Tim is an active Masters level athlete. He has completed marathons in
Boston, Chicago, Ottawa and Toronto and cycling races including National
Age category championships, The Race Across America team race, the
Haute Route and Trans Alps Sportives. This experience has helped him
develop a deep understanding of Sports Law.

Tim received his Bachelor of Applied Science from the University of Toronto,
his LL.B from the University of Windsor and his Masters of International Law
Degree from the Australian National University. Tim attended the Program
on Negotiation (Mediation) at the Harvard Law School Education course.
